Tappan Lake

Tappan Lake Park, part of the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District, is one of Ohio's most scenic outdoor locations. 

Clendening Lake

 Clendening Lake is the largest undeveloped lake in Ohio and is known for its bass fishing and solitude. Camping and boat rentals are also available. 

Piedmont Lake

 Piedmont Lake is considered by many to be the most scenic of all the MWCD lakes. It is set in rough, hilly, unglaciated terrain, most of which is heavily wooded.

Quilt Barn Driving Tour

Drive the Beautiful, & scenic, Quilt Barn Tour. Each barn consists of an eight-foot square painted replica of quilt squares on barns throughout the county. The barns are promoted as a "drive it yourself" tour of Harrison County. They also serve as a constant reminder of our pioneer and agricultural heritage.  There are 20 barns in all.

Baby Bison Days & Pow Wow

Bluegrass in the Hills

Bluegrass In The Hills is an June event in Hopedale, Ohio that offers the best bluegrass music from the most talented performers.  Camping and great food!

Blues for a Cure

FREE public concert every June at Sally Buffalo Park with all proceeds benefiting the Harrison Community Hospital Foundation and the Harrison County Cancer Crusaders.

Harrison County Fair

The Harrison County Fair proudly showcases the youth of the county with their animal and still projects with grand stand events nightly!

Harrison County Christmas Parade

The Harrison County Lighted Christmas parade takes place the first Saturday in December.  With over 70 entries, this parade grows bigger with every year! 

Old Construction & Surface Mining Equipment Show

This show takes place every September. The show features draglines, shovels, trucks, crawlers, dozers, etc demonstrated or on display.

Stumptown Steam Threshers Festival & Reunion

In Sepetember, watch Steam Engines working , with the Saw Mill, Shingle Mill, Threshing and Baling. There are Antique Gas Tractors, Garden Tractors, Hit & Miss Engines and Steam Models in action.
